| 正面描述 | The obverse is dominated by a large vignette of an African fish eagle perched on a branch at right, set against a light multicolour guilloche underprint in shades of violet, gold, and green. At lower left, the Zambian coat of arms appears within a circular seal dated 1992, accompanied by a small dove vignette. The denomination K5000 is printed in large numerals at upper left and lower centre, with the Bank of Zambia title across the top and a Governor's signature below the central promise-to-pay inscription. |

| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a bold intaglio vignette of a lion's head at left, rendered in violet-brown tones against a multicolour guilloche underprint. At centre, a stylised plant motif frames a sculptural group of the Freedom Statue — a figure breaking chains — in the middle ground. A small dove vignette appears at right, and the printer's imprint runs along the lower right margin. |

| 备注 |
The 5000 Kwacha was the highest denomination in Zambia's series when first issued in 1992 — a reflection of the hyperinflationary pressure the kwacha had been under since the late 1980s, when the Kaunda government's price subsidies collapsed and the IMF structural adjustment program gutted purchasing power. By the time this note entered circulation, 5000 Kwacha represented what a fraction of that figure had bought a decade earlier.
The nine-year print run with a single Pick number suggests relatively stable plate use by De La Rue, though date variants within the series are documented and worth distinguishing in any serious holding.
