备注

The 5000 Korun was the highest denomination issued by Národná Banka Slovenska during the Slovak koruna period, and it was a politically significant commission — newly independent Slovakia needed a prestige note that could hold its own against established European currencies. Giesecke & Devrient's Leipzig facility had inherited substantial intaglio expertise from its pre-unification East German operations, and the engraving by Václav Fajt reflects that tradition.

The denomination was demonetized when Slovakia adopted the euro on 1 January 2009, ending a koruna series that had existed for only sixteen years following the peaceful dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1993.
