附加信息	Guinea issued this piece in 1970 as part of a commemorative gold series honoring Gamal Abdel Nasser, who had died in September of that year. Sékou Touré and Nasser had maintained a close political alliance since Guinea's abrupt independence from France in 1958 — Nasser was among the first foreign leaders to extend recognition and material support when France withdrew overnight and stripped the country of its infrastructure. The timing made the issue an immediate memorial rather than a tribute to a living statesman.
