| Aanvullende informatie |
Chad's franc CFA coinage is issued under the authority of the Bank of Central African States (BEAC), which means striking decisions are rarely unilateral — this piece was almost certainly produced by a private mint on commission rather than through any BEAC facility. The scorpion series belongs to a broader wave of African nation-branded collector silver that emerged in the 2010s, where issuing rights were licensed to European distributors targeting the numismatic market rather than any domestic circulation need.
No meaningful circulation ever occurred. These were sold directly into collector channels from issue.
