The feathered facial disc is meticulously sculpted with layered plumage textures, while the owl's two large forward-facing eyes are inset with gold-coloured inserts, lending them a vivid, lifelike quality. The sharply hooked beak curves prominently downward at centre. The engraver's signature P.
