| 表面の説明 | The obverse is struck in the form of a flat musical note 'b' (B-flat symbol), with the rounded lower lobe bearing the Coat of Arms of Chad in relief at center, superimposed over flowing musical stave lines and scattered musical notes that sweep across the field. The elongated stem of the note shape rises vertically to the right, carrying the inscription '2023 REPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD' along its length, followed by the cursive facsimile signature of Johann Sebastian Bach in the field, with the denomination '5000 FRANCS CFA' inscribed below. The antique finish lends the entire surface a deep, aged patina accentuating the raised design elements. |

Chad's Central African CFA franc is administered by the BEAC, which issues currency on behalf of six member states — meaning commemorative programs like this one are authorized regionally, not unilaterally by N'Djamena. That makes large-format collector pieces bearing Chad's name essentially licensing arrangements, produced by private minting houses and sold directly into the numismatic market rather than circulating anywhere near central Africa.
Bach himself died in 1750 leaving his estate in disorder, with manuscripts scattered and much of his output unpublished. The bulk of his catalog survived largely because his son Carl Philipp Emanuel preserved the papers.
