| Reverse description | The reverse presents a finely detailed effigy of a springbok (Antidorcas marsupialis) rendered in dynamic walking profile above a rocky ground line in low relief. The arched legend AFRICAN SPRINGBOK occupies the upper portion of the field, while the date 2019 is split across the central field with '20' to the left and '19' to the right of the motif. The lower legend 999.9 FINE GOLD 1/200 OZ confirms the coin's fineness and troy weight. |

| Additional information |
Chad's participation in the African Springbok bullion series is a licensing arrangement — the country functions as an issuing authority on paper while production and distribution run through external private minters targeting the collector market. The springbok itself is native to southern Africa, nowhere near Chad, which tells you everything about the geographic logic at work here.
At 0.16 g of .9999 gold, the actual metal content is negligible — roughly a sixth of a standard grain. These exist as novelty instruments, not monetary tools.
