| Opmerkingen |
The Banque des États de l'Afrique Centrale — the common central bank serving Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Gabon, and Equatorial Guinea — issued notes distinguished by a letter prefix identifying the member state; the Central African Republic used the letter "C." This regional arrangement, inherited from the franc zone architecture built during French colonial administration, meant that a note printed in Paris for Bangui was legally tender only in that republic, despite being near-identical in design to notes circulating across five neighboring countries.
The Oye Mba and Ntoutoume signature pairing places this note firmly in the transitional period following Bokassa's ousting in 1979.
