A stylised lyre motif appears at the lower left, and the engraver's initials B.Σ. are incused beneath the portrait. The legend ΚΑΛΟΣΚΑΓΑΘΟΣ arcs along the left periphery, while XIII ΠΑΝΕΥΡΩΠΑΙΚΟΙ ΑΓΩΝΕΣ ΣΤΙΒΟΥ continues around the right. The inscription ΑΘΗΝΑ 1982 appears in the lower exergual area, commemorating the 13th European Athletics Championships held in Athens.
