| Obverse description | Facing right bust of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, wearing traditional Gulf headdress (keffiyeh and agal), rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. A circular Arabic legend surrounds the effigy, reading in two arcs: the upper arc bearing his name and title, the lower arc identifying the United Arab Emirates.
