Opmerkingen

Serbia's state printing works at Topčider has produced domestic banknotes since the interwar period, making ZIN one of the few continental European security printers with an unbroken institutional history through two world wars, socialist federation, hyperinflation, and eventual national reconstitution. That the 5000 Dinar note — the highest denomination in regular circulation at the time of issue — was produced entirely in-house reflects a deliberate policy of self-sufficiency maintained by successive Serbian governments regardless of political system.

Pick 53 belongs to the post-2006 independent Serbia series, the first note family issued after the formal dissolution of the State Union with Montenegro.
