Reverse description Central design features the Imperial Iranian coat of arms: the Lion and Sun emblem surmounted by the Pahlavi Crown, with the lion passant holding a sword before a rising sun. The shield is flanked by sprays of oak and olive leaves tied with a ribbon, beneath which the mint mark 'H' (for Heaton and Sons, Birmingham) appears on applicable pieces. The denomination legend 'Panj Hezar Dinar' (Five Thousand Dinars) is inscribed in the lower field in Persian script.
