Aanvullende informatie

Ahmad Shah came to the throne in 1909 at age eleven, following his father Mohammad Ali Shah's forced abdication under constitutional pressure backed by Russian and British interests. By 1916, Iran was nominally neutral in the First World War yet effectively occupied in its northern and southern zones by Russian and British forces respectively — the government in Tehran controlling little beyond the capital. Coinage continued largely as a matter of form.

KM#1075 represents the final mature type of the Qajar milled silver series before Ahmad's eventual deposition in 1925 by Reza Khan.
