备注

Tucumán's australes emergency notes were issued under provincial fiscal emergency laws as the national government lost control of the money supply during the hyperinflationary collapse of 1989–1990. Provinces across Argentina began issuing their own quasi-currency — known collectively as "cuasimonedas" — because the federal treasury could not meet payroll obligations. Tucumán was among the first to act.

The 5000 australes denomination reflects just how far the currency had deteriorated; the austral itself had replaced the peso argentino in 1985 and would be abandoned entirely in 1992 for the convertibility peso. These provincial notes circulated alongside federal issues by necessity, not legal design, and acceptance was often coerced rather than voluntary.
