正面描述	The obverse features the Polish state eagle — the crowned white eagle with wings spread — rendered in high relief at centre, serving as the arms of the Polish People's Republic. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA arcs around the upper periphery, while the denomination ZŁ 500 ZŁ appears prominently in the lower field. The date 19 87 is divided on either side of the eagle's body. The mintmark MW appears in the lower field near the eagle's talons, identifying the Mint of Poland in Warsaw.
