| Obverse description | At center, the crowned Polish eagle — emblem of the Polish People's Republic — is depicted facing forward with wings displayed, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The eagle's head is turned to the right, with outstretched talons and a shield on its breast. Flanking the eagle, the date 1982 is divided across the lower field, with '19' to the left and '82' to the right, and the mint mark 'MW' appears below. The denomination '500' in large numerals is positioned at the base, flanked by the currency abbreviations 'ZŁ' on either side. The circular legend around the periphery reads '• POLSKA • RZECZPOSPOLITA • LUDOWA •' in Latin characters. |
