Reverse description A three-quarter-length effigy of King Kazimierz III Wielki (Casimir the Great) faces slightly left, depicted wearing a jewelled crown with fleur-de-lis finials and royal robes. The king holds a heraldic shield bearing the Polish eagle in his right hand. His long flowing beard and detailed royal vestments are rendered in high relief against a matte field. The legend KAZIMIERZ III WIELKI arcs along the left periphery, while the regnal dates 1333-1370 are inscribed vertically along the right field.
