| 备注 |
The Bank of Shansi, Chahar & Hopei — commonly abbreviated SCH Bank — was a Communist-controlled regional bank established in the Jin-Cha-Ji border region during the war against Japan. By 1946, with full-scale civil war resuming between the CCP and the Kuomintang, the bank was issuing high-denomination notes to manage the financial demands of a wartime economy operating largely outside any formal national monetary framework.
High-denomination SCH Bank notes from this period are frequently found with heavy fold wear and ink transfer — predictable given the volume and speed of military-zone circulation. The 500 Yuan figure itself reflects the inflationary pressure that made smaller notes functionally useless within months of printing.
