The nickel-brass outer ring carries the Latin legend JAPAN 47 PREFECTURES COIN PROGRAM along the upper arc, with the denomination 500 YEN and the Japanese date 平成24年 (Year 24 of Heisei, 2012) distributed along the lower arc, all enclosed within a beaded border. |
