| Opis rewersu | The copper-nickel centre of the reverse presents a right-facing bust of Anton Tomaž Linhart, depicted in 18th-century attire with his hair worn long in period fashion, rendered in a clean, minimalist engraving style. Overlapping the lower portion of the bust, the birth and death years '1756' and '1795' are rendered in large, interlocking numerals that fill the lower centre of the inner disc. The nickel brass outer ring carries the legend 'ANTON TOMAŽ LINHART' distributed around the full circumference, honouring the Slovenian playwright and historian on the 250th anniversary of his birth. |

Linhart is best remembered for his 1788–91 two-volume history of Carniola, the first serious attempt to document Slovenian history in a systematic, Enlightenment-driven framework rather than as a footnote to Habsburg dynastic narrative. Less celebrated is his parallel career as a playwright — his comedies, written in Slovenian vernacular rather than German, were a deliberate provocation at a time when Slovenian had no real literary standing. The coin marks 250 years from his 1756 birth in Radovljica.
