Reverse description A naturalistic macaque monkey is depicted seated in three-quarter view upon a gnarled branch, rendered in high sculptural relief against a mirror-field background. A brief inscription in traditional Mongolian script appears to the upper left of the central motif. The central design is encircled by a beaded inner border, outside of which a continuous decorative band features multiple smaller monkeys in active poses amid stylised foliate scrollwork. The outer border repeats the geometric meander pattern consistent with the obverse, unifying the coin's overall design.
