Aanvullende informatie

Part of a multi-piece series issued by the Bank of Mongolia commemorating Marco Polo's 13th-century travels through Central Asia, this piece addresses the return leg of a journey that lasted roughly 24 years in total. Polo departed Venice around 1271 and did not return until 1295, arriving — according to later accounts — barely recognized by his own family.

The .9999 fineness and fractional weight place this squarely in the small-format bullion-collector market that Mongolian state mints leaned into heavily during the early 2000s.
