| Obverse description | Gold-plated matte field featuring a large horse-shaped cutout occupying the lower-left portion of the flan, depicting a rearing Mongolian horse in dynamic silhouette with forelegs raised. Mongolia's horse-themed collector issues from this period were produced under contract by foreign mints — almost certainly the Banska Bystrica facility in Slovakia or a comparable European producer — a common arrangement for the Bank of Mongolia's commemorative program, which has relied heavily on outside production capacity since the 1990s. The domestic mint infrastructure has never been scaled for struck collector coinage.
