Reverse description The reverse features a centrally placed, finely detailed relief depiction of a stylized dragon in the East Asian artistic tradition, shown in profile with an elaborate fanned tail and scaled body, set within a recessed polished black field. Surrounding the central dragon motif is a circular border divided into twelve panels, each containing a small relief figure representing one of the twelve animals of the Oriental zodiac calendar. The mint mark 'KMC' appears within a cartouche at the top of the inner border. The outer rim legend is inscribed in three languages: Kazakh ('ШЫҒЫС КҮНТІЗБЕСI'), Russian ('ВОСТОЧНЫЙ КАЛЕНДАРЬ'), and English ('ORIENTAL CALENDAR'), separated by raised dots. The year of issue '2012' appears on the right side of the outer rim.
