| 背面描述 | A festive multitiered composition depicts a gathering of men and women in traditional national dress from various ethnic groups of Kazakhstan celebrating the Nauryz holiday. In the upper portion, two figures in folk costumes raise their arms beneath an arching decorative motif suggestive of a yurt's tunduk (smoke-hole crown). The encircling legend 'НАУРЫЗ МЕЙРАМЫ' arcs across the upper field in Cyrillic. To the lower left, the fineness and weight inscriptions 'Ag 925' and '31,1 gr.' are noted, while the date '2012' appears at lower right, with a beaded border framing the entire design. |

Nauryz, the spring new year observed across Central Asia and the broader Turkic and Persian worlds, was suppressed during the Soviet period as an expression of pre-socialist nationalism. Kazakhstan formally rehabilitated the holiday in 1991 following independence, and the subsequent decades saw it elevated to one of the country's principal state celebrations — this commemorative issue appearing roughly twenty years into that revival.
