Reverse description The reverse presents a raised, oxidized blackened central disk reproducing the reverse face of a 16th-century Central Asian silver dirhem, with dense Arabic script in Kufic or Naskh style filling the field in horizontal registers. The polished outer border carries a bilingual legend reading XVI ғ. ДИРХЕМ in Cyrillic at left and DIRKHEM XVI c. in Latin at right, separated at the top by a small ornamental device and flanked on either side by traditional Kazakh ornamental motifs. The fineness and weight specifications Ag 925 31.1 gr. appear in the lower portion of the border.
