正面描述 The obverse features a blackened silver insert at center depicting a reproduction of a medieval Saraijuk coin, rendered in high relief against a polished field. The insert shows an ancient coin face with stylized figural motifs characteristic of Golden Horde coinage. Surrounding the central insert, a circular legend in Cyrillic and Latin reads 'ҚАЗАҚСТАН РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ' and 'REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN', flanked by dot separators. The date '2008' appears at the top of the legend, and the denomination '500 ТЕҢГЕ' is inscribed at the bottom.

附加信息

Saraijuk (also rendered Saraychik) was the principal city of the Golden Horde on the lower Ural River and a major node on the overland Silk Road routes through the Eurasian steppe. It was effectively destroyed by Nogai raids in the 1590s and never rebuilt, leaving almost nothing above ground. Kazakhstan's commemorative program has returned repeatedly to pre-Russian steppe history as a deliberate assertion of deep civilizational roots on the territory.

The blackened silver center is a production technique associated with the Berne-based Swissmint contract work common in Kazakh commemoratives of this period.
