Obverse description The state emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan occupies the central field, depicting a shanyrak (the upper dome of a yurt) with sunrays radiating outward, flanked by mythical winged horses (tulpars) and framed by wheat ears and a five-pointed star at the apex. The denomination '500 ТЕҢГЕ' appears in the lower portion of the legend. A circular bilingual inscription runs along the rim, reading 'ҚАЗАҚСТАН РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ' in Kazakh and 'РЕСПУБЛИКА КАЗАХСТАН' in Russian.
