正面描述 Central field displays the large numeral '500' above the denomination legend 'ТЕҢГЕ' in bold relief, with the date '·2002·' below. A decorative spiral motif appears above the numerals, flanked by stylized traditional Kazakh ornamental patterns forming a border around the coin. The inscription 'Ag 925. 24 gr.' appears in the upper right field, and the legend 'ҚАЗАҚСТАН ҰЛТТЫҚ БАНКІ' (National Bank of Kazakhstan) curves around the periphery in Cyrillic and traditional Kazakh script characters. The overall design reflects the national artistic heritage of Kazakhstan in a proof finish.

附加信息

Kazakhstan launched its wildlife conservation coin series in the early 2000s partly as a hard-currency revenue mechanism — collector silver was a reliable foreign exchange earner for a young central bank still building its reserve credentials after independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. The argali, the world's largest wild sheep by body mass, ranges across the Kazakh steppe and mountain ranges but had been severely depleted by Soviet-era trophy hunting programs and habitat fragmentation.

Mintage on KM#44 was tightly limited, and the series as a whole has attracted consistent interest from both topical wildlife collectors and post-Soviet issues specialists.
