Obverse description The obverse features the national emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan — a shanyrak (the circular crown of a yurt) flanked by mythical winged horses (tulpars) — rendered in high relief at centre, set against a contrasting field divided diagonally between a polished mirror finish and a deeply engraved background adorned with traditional Kazakh ornamental scrollwork (urneks). The large numeral '500' appears prominently in the lower field in stylised script integrating further decorative motifs. The Cyrillic legends 'ҚАЗАҚСТАН РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ' and 'РЕСПУБЛИКА КАЗАХСТАН' are inscribed along the left and right margins respectively, with the denomination legend '• ТЕҢГЕ •' running along the lower rim.

Reverse description The reverse depicts a finely detailed relief scene illustrating the traditional Kazakh ceremony of 'Қырқынан шығару' (the fortieth-day bathing ritual), in which three women in traditional dress attend to an infant placed in an ornately decorated cradle (beshik). Above the central scene, a stylised yurt canopy with traditional embroidered patterns frames the composition. A small mint logo appears to the upper left, with the date '2016' inscribed vertically along the left margin. The legend 'ҚЫРҚЫНАН ШЫҒАРУ' arcs along the lower field, flanked by decorative Kazakh ornamental motifs, while the fineness and weight inscription 'Ag 925 24g' appears along the right margin.
