| Obverse description | The obverse features the national emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan — a shanyrak (the circular crown of a yurt) flanked by mythical winged horses (tulpars) — rendered in high relief at centre, set against a contrasting field divided diagonally between a polished mirror finish and a deeply engraved background adorned with traditional Kazakh ornamental scrollwork (urneks).
