正面描述 Intaglio portrait of José Quiñones at right, in dark blue on a multicolour guilloche underprint with orange and teal tones; the large numeral 500 occupies the centre-left over an intricate rosette pattern, flanked by the Peruvian coat of arms within a circular vignette at centre. Three signature lines appear below the coat of arms, labelled DIRECTOR, PRESIDENTE, and GERENTE GENERAL, with the bank title BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERU in bold letterpress along the lower margin and QUINIENTOS SOLES DE ORO across the upper right.

备注

The P#115 series was produced across a six-year window that coincided with Peru's turbulent return toward civilian rule after more than a decade of military government — Belaúnde Terry's second presidency began in 1980, mid-series. De La Rue held the design credit, but the actual printing was carried out by Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato in Rome, a distinction the note's margins make easy to miss.

Watermarking was the sole mechanical security feature — modest even by the standards of the period, and insufficient against the counterfeiting pressures that plagued Peruvian currency throughout the early 1980s as inflation accelerated sharply toward the crisis years ahead.
