MONTE DELLA PIETÀ DI ROMA is printed in large display type at the centre, above the body text stating the cedola's value of Scudi Romani Cinquecento at ten giuli per scudo, payable to the bearer. The denomination 500 appears in a guilloche-framed panel at the top, and the note bears multiple manuscript annotations including registry numbers, signatures of officials, and a date of 7 January 1788.
