Reverse description The reverse presents a highly detailed architectural view of the Vienna City Hall (Wiener Rathaus), the neo-Gothic municipal building completed in 1883, depicted in full facade with its central tower, flanking turrets, and ornate arcaded galleries. Flanking trees frame the building on either side, lending depth and context to the composition. The legend 'WIENER RATHAUS' arcs along the upper border, while the centenary inscription '100 JAHRE' appears in the upper right field. The centennial dates '1883-1983' are engraved prominently along the lower exergue. The engraver's signature 'BODLAK' appears in small lettering at the base of the design, attesting to the work of Kurt Bodlak.
