| Reverse description | The field presents a finely detailed relief composition depicting four figures in traditional Austrian regional folk costume (Tracht) of the Danube river region, arranged in a procession across the coin's surface. Two men wearing broad-brimmed hats and long coats are positioned to the left, while two women in elaborately ornamented dirndl dresses with decorative aprons and Biedermeier-style headdresses stand to the right. Together the four figures carry on their shoulders a large, ornate harvest wreath of intertwined foliage and blossoms, which arches prominently above the group in the upper field. The rendering captures fine textile details including embroidery and lace trim on the women's garments. The plain field provides a polished background that accentuates the sculptural quality of the figures. |
