| Obverse description | Central cartouche composed of an ornate cruciform frame divided into four panels bearing the royal name and title of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev in Devanagari script, with a trident symbol at the centre. The Nepali Samvat date 2049 appears at the foot of the design. Four traditional Hindu auspicious symbols — the sun, conch shell, lotus blossom, and club — are positioned in the four corners of the outer frame. A beaded border surrounds the entire design, with the honorific inscription श्री श्री appearing at the top of the field. |
