Obverse description The obverse features the traditional Nepalese coin design centered on a stylized square panel bearing the royal name of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev inscribed in Devanagari script, arranged across multiple registers within the panel. A small hand symbol appears at the center of the panel. Flanking the central panel are the royal insignia: a sword on the left and a khukuri on the right, rendered in outline style. Above the panel, the honorific legend 'श्री श्री' appears in the field. The Nepalese Vikram Samvat year '२०५१' (2051) is inscribed at the base of the central panel.
