| 备注 |
P#50 marks a transitional moment in Nepali currency history — issued shortly after the royal massacre of June 2001, in which King Birendra and eight other members of the royal family were killed. The note entered circulation under King Gyanendra, whose accession under those circumstances made even routine currency issuances politically charged. G&D's Leipzig facility had been supplying Nepali notes for decades by this point, a relationship that continued through the political turbulence of the early 2000s.
The security specification is modest for a high-denomination note of this period — watermark and thread only, no color-shifting ink or microprinting registered in the Pick listing.
