Описание лицевой стороны	At right, a traditional Maldivian dhow under sail is rendered in intaglio against a multicolour guilloche underprint, while a large conch shell vignette occupies the left field amid ornate decorative scrollwork. The denomination numeral 500 appears in the upper left corner alongside Thaana script inscriptions identifying the issuing authority. Date and authority text are repeated in both Thaana script and Arabic numerals across the centre of the note.

Описание оборотной стороны	The central vignette is occupied by the Grand Friday Mosque and Islamic Centre in Malé, its gilded dome and minaret executed in fine intaglio detail within an arched guilloche frame. Large denomination numerals 500 appear at both the left and right margins, with the inscription "Five Hundred Rufiyaa" in red at upper right. A guilloche border with floral motifs frames the entire composition, with the issuing authority name running along the lower margin.
