| Obverse description | The left portion of the note carries a tall ornate vertical vignette in dark purple-brown, incorporating a double-headed eagle within an elaborate foliate and geometric cartouche, flanked by the large numeral '500' in letterpress. The main field presents the note as a 5% short-term obligation of the State Treasury of Siberia, with the body text in Cyrillic script on a yellow-ochre guilloche underprint, stating payment of five hundred roubles at the State Bank of Siberia and its branches on 1 November 1919. Marginal inscriptions in French and English run vertically along the left and right edges respectively, with the place and date of issue — Omsk, 1 November 1918 — printed in the lower right. |
