Transnistria's 1994 coupon issues were emergency instruments for a breakaway state that had declared independence from Moldova in 1990 but remained unrecognized internationally. The Republican Bank operated outside any formal international monetary framework, printing its own currency to sustain a wartime and post-wartime economy propped largely by Russian political support and the continued presence of the Russian 14th Army.
The "Printed: 30.04.1945" field in the catalog data is almost certainly a data entry artifact — no Transnistrian note was printed in 1945.
