| 备注 |
The 500 Riyal is the highest denomination in Saudi Arabia's regular circulation series, and the 2021 issue marks the first notes explicitly carrying the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA's rebranded name) designation following the institution's formal renaming under the Saudi Central Bank Law enacted that year. The rebrand was partly administrative, partly symbolic — distancing the authority from its older "Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency" identity as part of broader Vision 2030 financial sector restructuring.
De La Rue's Loughton facility has handled Saudi currency production across multiple series. P#50 succeeds the earlier 500 Riyal issues without dramatic redesign, making the institutional name change the primary distinguishing factor for cataloguers.
