| 正面铭文 | بانک مرکزی ایران پانصد ریال (Translation: Bank Markazi Iran / Five Hundred Rials) |
| 背面描述 | A large central intaglio vignette of the Marlik Chalice — rendered as a stylized composition of two winged lions flanking a central column, evoking ancient Persian goldwork — dominates the brown-toned reverse. To the left, a finely engraved guilloche rosette carries the denomination RIALS 500 in letterpress. The legend BANK MARKAZI IRAN appears in Latin script across the top border, with the denomination repeated in Persian and Arabic numerals in all four corners. |

| 备注 |
Harrison & Sons held the Bank Markazi Iran contract through much of the 1960s, printing successive signature varieties of this denomination as the central bank cycled through governors — Ebrahim Kashani, Mehdi Samii, and Ali Asghar Poor-Homayoun each appear across the P#74 series. The signature combinations are the primary tool for dating individual examples within the 1962–1965 window, as the printed date is absent from the face entirely.
These notes circulated hard. High-denomination paper in a rapidly modernizing oil economy took real punishment, and genuinely unworn examples from this run are difficult to source.
