| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by the large Gothic-script denomination "Fünfhundert Rentenmark" at centre, with the numeral 500 appearing in the upper-left corner and repeated in a large format at lower right, all set against a fine guilloche underprint. The heading "Rentenbankschein" appears in italic script at top centre, beneath a row of ornamental guilloche rosettes. Multiple lines of small-print legal text in German fill the central field, with the issuer's name "Deutsche Rentenbank" and the signature block of the Verwaltungsrat (Board of Directors) rendered in manuscript facsimile at the foot of the note. |
