Obverse description Large bold effigy of King Fuad I facing left, depicted in civic attire with a traditional fez (tarboosh), collar, and jacket visible at the truncation. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine sculptural detail, occupying the majority of the field. The Arabic legend curves along the right side of the field, reading from upper to lower, while the dentilated border frames the entire design.
