| 正面铭文 | CHARLES III·D·G·REX·F·D·500 POUNDS·2025 · MJ (Translation: Charles III by the Grace of God King Defender of the Faith) |
| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a bold, high-relief rendering of the Queen's Panther, one of the heraldic beasts associated with Queen Jane Seymour and the royal heraldic tradition, as designed by David Lawrence. The panther is depicted sejant, facing right, its spotted body rendered with meticulous detail, wearing a crown and a decorative collar with a chain. The beast supports with its forepaws a detailed quartered royal shield displaying the arms of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland. The legend QUEEN'S PANTHER arcs along the upper field, with two decorative dots flanking the date 2025 in the lower exergue. The engraver's initials DL appear in the lower right field. The mirrored proof surface enhances the dramatic sculptural depth of the composition. |

The Queen's Beasts series concluded under Elizabeth II, but the Royal Mint has continued issuing complementary pieces under Charles III that revisit the heraldic supporters from the 1953 coronation procession. The Panther of Clarence derives from the arms of the House of Clarence, appearing as a supporter in the medieval tradition of English royal heraldry, and saw relatively little numismatic treatment before this series brought it renewed attention.
At five troy ounces of .9999 fine gold, this is a significant bullion-weight proof issue — the kind where die polishing and cameo contrast matter practically as much as the metal content to the collector market.
