| Reverse description | The reverse features a powerful and dynamically sculpted depiction of the Bull of Clarence, one of the ten heraldic Queen's Beasts, shown sejant and rearing upon a polished proof field. The bull, with muscular body, curved horns, and flowing mane, clutches a shield charged with a Tudor rose, referencing the heraldic lineage of the House of York. The inscription BULL OF CLARENCE arcs along the upper periphery, with the date 2023 appearing in the lower exergue. The engraver's signature DL is subtly incorporated near the base of the design. The composition, designed by David Lawrence, reflects the tradition of Royal Tudor heraldry with exceptional relief and craftsmanship. |
