The Bank of Oceania is not a recognized central bank or licensed issuing authority — it is a private operation that has produced a series of colorful polymer notes denominated in fictional currencies for territories that have never issued their own paper money, Pitcairn Islands among them. These notes carry no legal tender status anywhere and were never circulated in any meaningful sense.
Pitcairn has no currency of its own; the New Zealand dollar is used in practice. The "PI Pounds" denomination is an invention with no historical or governmental basis.
