Reverse description The reverse is divided into two registers, each bearing a paired royal portrait. In the upper half, the conjoined busts of Queen Isabella I and King Ferdinand II of Castile and Aragon face one another, their Latinized names ELISABET and FERNANDVS inscribed on banners below, accompanied by their respective regnal dates 1474, 1504 and 1475, 1516. In the lower half, the busts of King Philip I and Queen Joanna face one another, identified by the legends PHILIPPVS and IOANNA with dates 1506 and 1504, 1555.
