| 备注 |
The Dominican Republic issued this note in 1992 to mark the 500th anniversary of Columbus's 1492 landing — an event the country has long staked considerable national identity on, given that La Hispaniola was the first permanent European settlement in the Americas. The Canadian Bank Note Company printed the series in Ottawa, as they had handled Dominican currency work for decades by that point.
Pick 140 carries only a watermark as its listed security feature, which is notably sparse for a commemorative high-denomination note issued in the early 1990s, when intaglio printing and security threads were already widespread.
