| 备注 |
The United States Banknote Company printed this note in what turned out to be one of its final years of operation — the firm went bankrupt in 1989, just months after this issue. USBANCO had been a significant supplier to Latin American central banks throughout the mid-twentieth century, but by the late 1980s it was losing contracts steadily to De La Rue and ABNC.
The 500 Pesos Oro denomination was a high-value note for the Dominican Republic in 1988, a period of acute inflationary pressure following the peso's collapse against the dollar under the Balaguer administration's currency mismanagement.
